MUI celebrated World Environment Day 2025 by joining the “Beyond Plastic” campaign, showcasing local solutions to plastic pollution and inspiring the next generation of ocean stewards through community outreach and a snorkeling event in Laamu Atoll.

To celebrate World Turtle Day, the MUI team and the Hithadhoo community came together for an afternoon of ocean-themed fun and learning. Over 150 people joined us to connect, explore, and celebrate the sea turtles of Laamu.
